The Equity Upfront™ brought to you by MAGNA and IPG Mediabrands was launched in 2021 to identify gaps in how our industry engages and collaborates with Black-owned media. Since then, as MAGNA’s equity investment practice developed into a more robust offering, the program has expanded to include representation from Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI), Hispanic, Indigenous, LGBTQIA+, Women, and Veteran-owned media companies.
Equity Upfront has become a vital part of the Media for Good efforts at IPG Mediabrands, which focus on driving impact within and outside of our agency network across the core areas of Media Responsibility, Marketplace Equity, Brand Safety, and Sustainability. This signature event is an annual touchpoint for our organization to connect our clients and diverse-owned media partners.
In 2024 and beyond, the Equity Upfront programming will continue to be structured with intentionality to educate and, more importantly, inspire action. Through actionable outcomes and collaboration, we see a pathway towards increased sustainable investments, incremental growth, reaching new audiences in authentic ways, and overall positive change in our industry.
